What is Authentic Books? Plus

We are a monthly subscription box service that brings together self-care with an immersive, 5 senses, book reading experience.

Our boxes are full of quality goodies from small US-based artisans and boutiques that are not only connected to the book but focus on each of our five senses (sight, smell, taste, sound, touch). 5% of the profits from each box supports children's education.

When are new book titles released? Plus

We release new book titles around 2 weeks before the start of the month. We'll email you the new titles.

You'll have until the 1st to pick the book you'd like to receive in your upcoming subscription box.

Shipping
When do you ship subscription boxes? Plus

We ship boxes towards the end of each month. You can check the status of our shipping on the Shipping Updates Status page.

We are currently shipping to the US + International

How much is shipping? Plus

United States: $9.99/month

International: Will depend on location

How long will my order take to arrive? Plus

All orders are shipped out the last week of each month.

For ex. April boxes will ship the last week of April. If you preorder a box for a future month, like May, then your box will ship the last week of May.

Once received by USPS you should receive in it 3-5 business days.

Returns & Cancellations
What if I don't like my box? Plus

We curate and pack your box with care down to the last little detail, and would like to hear your feedback.

Although boxes are non-refundable, please email us at hello@authenticbooks.com if you are unhappy with your order.

An item came damaged, what should I do? Plus

Please email us a picture of the damaged item to hello@authenticbooks.com,and we will ship out a replacement item right away.

What is your cancellation policy? Plus

All memberships are charged with their payment on file on the 5th of each month. Any cancellations after the 4th will reflect on the next billing cycle. 

Returns can not be made as boxes are made to order. Please email us at hello@authenticbooks.com if you have questions about your order.

Can I get a refund if I don't like my items? Plus

Our boxes are made to order and therefore non-refundable.

Please email hello@authenticbooks.com if you are unhappy with your order.

Subscriptions, Charges & Skipping a Month
How do I pick my book each month? Plus

We'll email you when it's time to pick your next book.

All you have to do is log into our website, click "My Account" or "My Box", and select the book you'd like in your next subscription order. It's that easy!

You can also add add-ons to your upcoming order from here as well.

When will my card be charged? Plus

All subscriptions are charged on the 1st of each month. If you would like to make a cancellation or skip a month, please do so on prior to that.

Can I skip a month? Plus

Absolutely! Just log into your account and select the "skip" option before the 1st.

Any skips made on the 1st or after will not be applied until the following billing cycle.

How many times can I skip? Plus

You can skip as often as you'd like. Unlimited!
