The writer of Hebrews says that believers "will find grace to help them when they need it" (Heb. 4:16). Lucas explains how we can utilize the grace we've been given in making choices from the seemingly inconsequential to the paramount. He challenges that grace "calls us to choose some paths and reject others." Each chapter focuses on how choosing and relying on the path of grace can make a difference in attitudes and responses to the pressures of the world which we're called to be in but not of. 

 Lucas invites his readers to an unhurried look at this subject; he's not suggesting a quick-fix approach. His desire is to see more captives liberated and changed lifestyles by calling on a grace that impacts various aspects of life including our values and priorities.
